How long is the lamination and mounting process? Is it easy and convenient to do?

A:

Simply by following the few steps provided, you will be able to operate our laminator with ease in no time.  
The entire laminating or mounting process (cutting, rolling and trimming) takes approximately 3-8 minutes.  
The operation time will decrease significantly with experience.

Q:

How can a dust free environment be achieved and sustained?

A:

Ensure that the immediate working area is vacuumed regularly and use a clean wet cloth to wipe down
the rollers and surrounding area prior to laminating and/or mounting.

Q:

How can air bubbles be eliminated?

A:

Once the laminating film is peeled off from the release liner, rest the film snuggly over the top roller.  
The film should be in complete contact with the top rollers and allows for no space gaps.

Q:

How do I handle the problem with specks of adhesive on the face of laminate?

A:

You can purchase the adhesive remover from any hardware store or paint shop. 
Just a few drops will remove the adhesive from the laminates.

Shipping cost is determined by the product weight , dimensions and location.

Delivery time is determined by location.  
We can provide you with estimated delivery date with your full shipping address.  
Unless otherwise specified by the customer, all products are shipped via FedEx Ground in
Canada and UPS Ground in USA.

Q:

After Laminating, how can I trim the edges without damaging the print?

A:
 

After removing the release liner, turn the laminate film face down use the thickness of the print as ruler,
simply glide along for a clean edge.

Q:

How can I achieve optimum pressure on the rollers?  

A:

Adjust the pressure knobs until the substrate can be smoothly rolled back and forth,
but cannot be pulled out of position.

Q:

How durable is the Laminator?  

A:
 

The machine has a life of 20 years and the rollers can last up to 15 years, from normal wear and tear.
Replacement rollers available for order.

Q:

How do I maintain the machine?  

A: 

Simply use a dampen cloth to clean the rollers and the machine. 
If the machine is not in use for a period of time, loosen the rollers to allow air flow.

Q:

What options do I have for the pre-cut sheets of laminate and mount boards?  

A:

Aside from the standard sizes available in the catalogue, we also accept orders for custom-cut sizes.

Q:

What is the difference between Thermal and Cold Lamination?  

A: 

The biggest difference is in Inkjet Prints/Digital Prints because the chemicals contained in the prints
cannot withstand too much heat and it will cause the color be distorted.
